What are portable toilets?

Portable toilets, or chemical toilets, are temporary sanitary solutions used whenever sanitation or drainage is lacking.

Our Rewatec solutions are manufactured by rotomolding with 100% virgin high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and treated against ultraviolet (UV) rays in order to remain unalterable in outdoor conditions.

All models have lifting rings and the Minicab range is equipped with wheels and a handle to facilitate handling indoors.

Models are available with a toilet and can even include a urinal. Our Minicabine range includes a shower model.

How do portable toilets work?

For a correct use of the bathrooms, they must be placed in the place of use and their general condition checked. The booth must be on a level, smooth and horizontal surface.

If the cabin is not connected to an exhaust system:

1. Fill the toilet tank:

Mecaplast and Mecabi models: 30 L of clean water
Minicab model: 10 L of clean water

2. Add liquid sanitary additive or tablets to reduce odors and liquefy organic matter. Note: Adjust the product dosage in case of high temperatures or infrequent cleaning.

3. Fill the basin tank with clean hand washing water through the top opening.

4. Emptying the wastewater tank:

Manually, to an authorized location.
Pumped directly from the tank into a dedicated cistern.

If the cabin is connected to an exhaust system:

Turn on the clean water supply
Discharge pipe connection
